Will manages the quality department and has been a member of East & Westbrook’s team for four years. He currently holds the very important role of Quality Director, where he supports and facilitates the quality department’s drive for continuous improvement. He graduated with a Civil Engineering degree and pursued Geotechnical Engineering work, which included some materials testing. It was during this time that he had the opportunity to test the concrete and perform inspections for East & Westbrook. He immediately noticed our industry-leading quality of work and intelligent field crews, who are organized and work together towards a common goal of ensuring the complex structures they design are actually what they deliver. A year later, he interviewed for a position at East & Westbrook. As the director of the quality department, Will is an educator and a problem solver. He works with our field crews to make sure that they understand the reason why it is important to take some of the precautions that they do, as well as why it is important to follow the specifications. The quality department views their successes as well as their opportunities for improvement as experiences that they can learn from, not just as individuals but as a collective group. Will also has the role of implementing improvements when concerns arise. When this happens, he helps East & Westbrook’s Project Management team and field crews find a path forward with minimal delay to the schedule that will produce a quality product and meets the needs of our clients. What Will likes best about working at East & Westbrook are our uncompromising standards. In his words, “We do things the East & Westbrook way, with pride in the work that we do. Many times our own standards exceed that of the project specifications, whether this be in the quality of our work or the safety of our personnel.” Fun Fact: Will has traveled all around the United States! He has been to all fifty states, and he has worked in various areas, ranging from the Virgin Islands to Alaska.
