POSITION SUMMARY

Oversee the daily construction activities of contractors, foremen, and workers at assigned work site to ensure projects follow schedules.  Coordinates the procurement, delivery and placement of materials and equipment on-site as required to execute each phase of the assigned construction project.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Follows construction schedules and monitors daily and weekly progress to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Troubleshoots any issues involving workers, contractors, safety, quality, changes, or processes and expedites solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Conducts meetings with subcontractors and schedules employees from different trades to meet the requirements of the project schedule.
  • Reads and interprets drawings to ensure the project is being constructed per the approved plans and specifications.
  • Performs quality control inspections to confirm the installed materials matched the approved submittals.
  • Schedules job inspections with the Inspector of Record or City Inspector depending on governing authority.
  • Collaborates with Project Engineer on all submittals prior to submission.
  • Completes daily, weekly and monthly reports per schedule.
  • Reviews subcontractor CORs for validity and cost.
  • Performs material take-offs and estimated man hours for any in-house work generated through change orders.
  • Collaborates with the Project Manager to develop and update project schedules and procurement logs.
  • Conducts weekly safety and quality focus meetings and ensures the company’s safety and quality programs are being followed through enforcement and accountability as applicable.
  • Identifies and addresses potential safety hazards.
  • Adheres to all safety protocols and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related industry experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with Procore software preferred
  • Advanced working knowledge of project plans and specifications
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Prior experience leading, directing and supervising others

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 10% sitting, 45% walking, and 45% standing. The job is performed outdoors, indoors and in various geographic locations.
