Choosing East & Westbrook for your Industrial & Commercial General Contracting services creates a seamless and organized construction plan from start to finish, allowing you to choose from a team of expert in-house subcontractors.

WHAT INDUSTRIAL & COMMERCIAL GENERAL CONTRACTING CAN OFFER YOU

The role of an industrial and commercial general contractor is to oversee the project from start to finish. This includes making sure all parts of the project are completed on schedule, safely, and within budget, as well as resolving any hurdles or challenges professionally. Industrial and commercial general contracting can benefit large projects requiring multiple steps or stages. Our industrial and commercial general contractors organize and manage other subcontractors, which allows for a seamless and stress-free process for your team. Additionally, general contractors typically have an established network of trusted subcontractors, which means they will have a relationship with their subcontractors and know their quality of work. They will be able to communicate any needs or recommendations appropriately.

The general contractor for your project will also have adequate insurance coverage, often enabling you to save significant time and money. They aim to bridge the gap between completing a project and organizing, subcontracting, and implementing all of the work it takes to get there. With customized services based on the project's needs and feedback during construction, you can’t go wrong with choosing an industrial and commercial general contractor for your project!

The East & Westbrook team has been and continues to be a versatile industrial and commercial general contractor partner for chemical, power generation, manufacturing, food and beverage, petroleum, and other industrial clients. As the chosen industrial and commercial contractor for clients throughout Kentucky, West Virginia, Florida, and Tennessee, our team recognizes that we set the tone of the project and the level of expectations of our core values. Culture is contagious on the job site and sets the tone for the whole project. How we uphold our core values has a prominent impact on the actions of the entire team on and off the job site, subcontractors included.

HARD HATS ON

Safety is at the forefront of everything we do at East & Westbrook. We must uphold the highest safety standards to send our team home safely. We take our position as industrial and commercial contractors very seriously. We have a significant role in instilling safety on the job site at all times. OSHA states that as the primary contractor, we are responsible for the safety of every other contractor/subcontractor working on the project. This means that the most critical challenge we face is setting clear, consistent, easily understandable expectations for safety culture, compliance, and engagement. Our responsibility is to ensure everyone directly or indirectly involved with the project has the proper mindset toward proactive safety and protecting themselves and each other. Everyone has a role to play. Each subcontractor and team member must understand the site-specific safety plans for the project, which include staging areas, personnel and equipment travel paths, work zone isolation requirements, communication requirements and methods, sequence of work scopes, and potential overlaps with other contractors and how those overlaps might impact each contractor/subcontractor. Finally, everyone must understand and comply with an established set of safety procedures, policies, and requirements so that all workers have knowledge of all foreseeable hazards and understand what steps we must take to remain protected.

We maintain a positive experience through the active engagement of our leadership, who lead by example, and through positive reinforcement, incentives, coaching/mentoring, training, and accountability. Since the potential impact is significant with industrial and commercial general contracting work, each project must have a contractor training orientation explicitly tailored to that project. We design our orientations to ensure that all of our contractors, who all have different mindsets toward safety and varying ideas of what the best safety practices are, approach the project with the same understanding of what safety looks like at East & Westbrook. They are expected to utilize proactive safety measures at all times, work efficiently through constant communication and planning, and understand they must do this while protecting our most precious natural resource: each other.

To take this a step further, we prequalify our subcontractors. We analyze their previous and current safety statistics to ensure no negative trends. We are unsatisfied with industry standards for safety performance and will never be. We strive for zero incidents and zero injuries. If subcontractors don’t fall within our strict tolerances, we will not use them on our projects.

You can be sure you are hiring the best of the best with East & Westbrook's Industrial & Commercial Contracting Services. As a leader in the construction industry, we have had the opportunity to create an excellent team of subcontractors, taking the guesswork out of your construction process. Get in touch with our team today, and let's develop a plan to ensure you get professional results on time and with the highest quality.
