Building More Than Complex Structures: Serving the Cedar Lake Community

Service
Author:

Our recent service project for Cedar Lake stands as a meaningful example of how our team brings that commitment to life, not only for our clients but for the community we are proud to support.

At East & Westbrook Constructions, service is a standard that shapes every project, every relationship, and every outcome. Our recent service project for Cedar Lake stands as a meaningful example of how our team brings that commitment to life, not only for our clients but for the community we are proud to support.

A Commitment to Service

Our expectation is simple: serve every client with exceptional care, every time. We achieve this by going above and beyond what is required, maintaining a clear understanding of project goals, and prioritizing safety on every commercial construction site we manage.

We believe it is just as important to serve our team and our community. When we invest in people, whether employees, partners, or neighbors, we create a ripple effect of excellence and trust. A service-first mindset leaves a lasting, positive impression on everyone involved.

As we often say, “Service to others leads to greatness all around.”

The Cedar Lake Project: A Gift to the Community

This philosophy came to life through our partnership with Cedar Lake, where our Commercial team donated time, expertise, and resources to create a safe, accessible walking path for the community.

Project Scope:

-         Approximately 300 feet of new sidewalk.

-         Custom sidewalk and awning design by Darius, our General Contracting Design Manager.

-         Collaboration with Advance Ready Mix, which generously donated the concrete, and with Cedar Lake volunteers, who completed the awning.

This project was driven by purpose. Our team saw an opportunity to make a tangible difference and made it happen. The new walking path enhances accessibility and creates a safer, more welcoming environment for Cedar Lake residents and visitors. As shared by Cedar Lake’s Executive Director, Julie, in the project video, improvements like these directly contribute to quality of life by providing spaces where individuals can move freely, connect, and thrive.

Recognized for Service: The Jericho Friend Award

The impact of this project did not go unnoticed. East &Westbrook was honored to receive the Jericho Friend Award from Cedar Lake, which recognizes meaningful service and partnership.

As part of the award ceremony, a special video played.

This honor reflects something we value deeply: when service is genuine, it resonates.

We are proud of what was accomplished, grateful for partners like Advance Ready Mix and the volunteers at Cedar Lake. This inspires us to continue building complex structures and lasting relationships.
