Safety
Before the project begins our Safety Director will meet with the Owner's Representative and our Project Manager to discuss the scope of the job and establish the safety requirements for the various phases of this particular project. After the project begins our Safety Director will conduct safety inspections and continue to communicate with the Owner's Representative as to the project's safety performance. Our project manager will carefully review with our Safety Director before attempting any operation that requires special or unusual safety precautions.
Schedule
As soon as possible afterward, our Project Manager will meet with the Owners Representative to discuss the starting date, starting area, sequence of events, and finish date of the project. After these items have been completely thought through and agreed upon, our Project Manager will immediately produce a schedule that satisfies and addresses the project time requirements. This schedule will also include a manpower loading chart and work completed milestone dates that can easily be tracked by both the Owner and East & Westbrook Management.
Supervision
Before any portion (including scheduling) of the project begins, East & Westbrook Construction Company, Inc. will assign a supervisor to the project and submit our choice to the Owners for approval. A resume of this person's qualifications will be submitted if necessary. Once agreed upon the East & Westbrook Construction Company, Inc. supervisor will have no other responsibility other than this project and will not be transferred without the express consent of the Owners.
The Owners quality standards will be met in all cases. This will be facilitated by regular visits to the job site by an East & Westbrook Construction Company, Inc. manager charged with the responsibility of tracking compliance to the Owner's plans, specifications, and quality standards. These visits should be conducted with the Owners Representative so any problems are discovered and corrected in an ongoing and timely manner rather than at a "too late now" stage of the project.
Manpower and Resources
Equipment and manpower of sufficient type and quantity will be dedicated to the project as dictated by the schedule and man loading chart. This equipment and manpower will remain available to meet the project schedule.
Response - East & Westbrook Construction Company, Inc. managers and supervisors are committed to immediately addressing requests from the Owners or their Representative. These requests could range from updated pricing on an anticipated scope change, to additional manpower and equipment to satisfy changing job site conditions or a request for alternate methods or material to minimize a subsequent schedule impact.
CONSTRUCTION MANPOWER
For East & Westbrook Construction Company, Inc. to reach its goal of a top quality construction project it must have top quality employees. Ability to perform the work
Employees must be competent to perform the work as directed in a workperson like time and manner that conforms with the standards of the construction industry.
Dependability
Employees must report to work when and where directed, ready to go to work. Employees must adhere to all East & Westbrook Construction Company, Inc. Policies.
Attitude
Employees must have a positive attitude about themselves, their fellow employees, the work they are doing, and the company for which they work.
Safety
Employees must perform their work safely, adhering to all safety policies and wearing and using required safety equipment at all times.
Construction manpower and their work performance is constantly being monitored according to the following guidelines to help assure a top quality construction project.
SUBCONTRACTOR
For East & Westbrook Construction Company, Inc. to reach its goal of a top quality construction project it needs the cooperation of all subcontractors to perform the following:
- Verify that their completed work will comply with drawings and specifications.
- Attend the pre-construction conference.
- Strictly adhere to the schedule.
- Timely communicate any occurence that would impact the schedule.
- Have a clear understanding of our chain of command and provide a list of responsible parties within their firm capable of making decisions.
- Timely processing of documents including submittals.
- Adhere to all safety policies and wear and use the required safety equipment at all times.
- Provide competent workers in sufficient numbers to complete the work as scheduled.
- Provide competent supervision for all phases of their work.
- Perform work only that has been given written approval.
MATERIAL SUPPLIER
For East & Westbrook Construction Company, Inc. to reach its goal of a top quality construction project it needs the cooperation of all Material Suppliers to provide the following:
- Materials supplied must be as specified.
- Submittals and shop drawings proving compliance submitted in a timely manner.
- Delivery must be on time as directed.
- Return the signed acknowledgement copy of East & Westbrook Construction Company, Inc.'s purchase order in a timely manner.
- Provide job site training of East & Westbrook Construction Company, Inc.'s personnel if necessary.
- Field dimension check all pre-fab materials.
- Adhere to all safety policies at all times.
- Provide materials only on written authorization.
- Provide MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) on all delivered materials.
STAFF SUPPORT
The management of East & Westbrook Construction Company, Inc. realizes that in order for the company to complete construction projects of top quality this goal must permeate the entire East & Westbrook organization.
It is very important that the Safety Director, Accounting Department, Estimating Department, and Maintenance Department work together in a spirit of communication and cooperation in direct support of the ongoing construction work in the field. Through the joint efforts of the entire East & Westbrook Construction Company, Inc. we can accomplish our goal of top quality construction projects.
