East and Westbrook has maintained a fulltime maintenance contract since 1982. Responsibilties under this account include; normal plant maintenance to general in-house construction projects. A full time crew of sixteen includes carpenters, ironworkers, concrete finishers, laborers and operators.
MOMENTUM
Momentum is as important to a contractor as it is to an athletic team. Any situation that causes downtime will normally cause a loss of momentum. This loss of momentum will result in a much larger production loss that just the real time delay of the downtime.

COMMUNICATION
Establish clear and specific lines of communication between the owner's representative, engineer and the contractor back and forth established at the project beginning.

COOPERATION
By moving toward a depolarization of contractor employee/owner employee relations, a "can do" spirit of cooperation will develop that will enable higher productivity levels and a "hassle free" relationship between the two groups of employees.
